What is to be done with a God-given burden?
Is compassion dead without action? Is love still real even in its meagre beginnings?
Interest is temporary, and the human heart is faulty- it cannot be trusted. When stale familiarity sets in, will I still do whatever it takes to love?
“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?” -Isaiah 58:6
These are questions I have asked myself many times on my justice journey, as I seek to love the least of these.
